The Nike Air Max 1 and Atmos collab fast became one of the post sought after footwear styles when it debuted in 2002. The standout model blends design elements from 2 Nike classics in the form of the AM 1 and Air Safari to produce a pair that fetches an absolute bomb on the resale market and has a happy home near the pinnacle of many a sneaker collection. Well now the Atmos Safari is back with a couple updates for a March 14th re-release as part of Nike’s retro program.
Following in a similar vein to the original model, the upper combines the same animal print of the Air Safari’s with chestnut, flax and kumquat suede. The original pair’s mesh toe box has also been swapped out for a softer suede material and ditched the gum sole for a translucent icy blue one.
If you want to take your collection up a notch (and you should) then you’ll have a shot at copping these from the likes of Nike, End, Offspring and Footpatrol on Monday 14th.
