This Week’s Hottest Footwear Drops – 15/10/16

Oct 13 2016 BY Arron Watson-McNab

This weekend is going to be a big one for all you crep enthusiasts with several notable pairs releasing. The headline act is certainly going to be the Yeezy Boost 750 “Chocolate” but don’t let Yeezy-mania make you miss out on what could be a special couple days for your kick game. Naturally, we’re here to rationalise the madness with the week’s hottest footwear drops.

The Sneaker Of The Week – Adidas Yeezy 750 “Chocolate”

No surprises, as with any Yeezy drop the anticipation is high and takes our sneaker of the week title. Take a look at the full article here and stay tuned on a full list of the stockist releasing Saturday 15th October.

Puma Blaze of Glory “Halloween pack”

With Halloween around the corner, Puma have taken advantage of the opportunity for some gloomy colourways. Taking inspiration from Vampires, the Blaze of Glory Sock and Blaze of Glory OG silhouettes have received a black and blood red coat. Materials such as soft nubuck and premium tumbled leather add texture for a polished finish to the shoe. Red speckles across the midsole enhance the theme, suggestive of blood splatter from Dracula’s victims.

The PUMA Blaze of Glory “Halloween” pack looks to be dropping on Friday 14th October at PUMA and selected stores.

Nike Flyknit Racer “Pure Platinum”

The Flyknit Racer has undoubtedly become a silhouette that gains a lot of attention in the sneaker community with every release.  Previous colourways such the Multicolour and the recent launch of the Triple Black resulted in mass sell-out in seconds. The pure platinum is set to be another highly anticipated release.

Shades of platinum and cool Grey provide the coat over the detailed Flyknit material.  The lateral side and across the toe is coloured in the cool grey, in contrast to the pure platinum on the medial. The patented swoosh appears in a dark grey and the addition of a Digital Camo heel tab provides subtle detailing.

Although they won’t keep you warm for the colder months, this sneaker can give you a polished look if you can firm cold feet. The Nike Flyknit Racer “Pure Platinum” officially releases on Friday 14th October.

The Bodega x Saucony Elite Shadow 5000 Reissue

Initially released in 2010, Bodega has teamed up once again with Saucony to re-issue their collaboration 6 years later. During this time, the silhouette has become an important piece in Saucony’s history and very hard to come due to very limited releases.

The modern release features 2 sneakers, each coloured in a slight different shade of blue. A grey suede toebox completes the colour block on the upper of each shoe, while a gum sole finishes off this Saucony classic.

This release, in celebration of Bodega’s 10th Anniversary, is set to release Saturday 15th October.

White Mountaineering x Adidas NMD City Sock + EQT Support

Another week…another collaboration. This time featuring Japan’s streetwear label, White Mountaineering, as they take on the Adidas NMD City Sock.

Its latest collaboration sees a unique take on the three stripes, as they straddle across the front of the shoe. Imprinted on the stripes are the names of both collaborative parties…just in case you ever forget. Primeknit Coloured in a simplistic black, coupled with the common white boost sole, is set to fit with the modern street stylist.

The White Mountaineering x Adidas NMD City Sock will be available to purchase on the 16th October alongside the EQT support and apparel collection.
